Convert an organisation to a person and vice versa

You can convert an organisation to a person and a person to an organisation. This may be necessary, for instance, after converting from Profit 2011 to Profit 2014 or after an incorrect import.

Note:

During the conversion, organisation- or person-specific fields are cleared. The following fields are cleared:

  • When converting from organisation to person: Legal form, Sector, Ch. of Comm. Number, Ch. of Comm. date, Name given in the articles of association, Registered office, Part of organisation, Fiscal number.
  • When converting from a person to an organisation: Usual name, First name, Initials, Prefix, Surname, record Birth name separately, Prefix birth name, Birth name, Prefix  partner, Birth name partner, User name, Gender, Nationality, Date of birth, Country of birth, Place of birth, Social security number ('BSN'), Marital status, Wedding date, Date of divorce, Date deceased, Second title.

Address and communication information remains unchanged. When converting from an organisation to a person, the standard function for entering names is used to complete the person’s name fields.

Note:

The conversion is only permitted if no contacts are linked to the organisation, or if the person is not linked as a contact. Also, no specific types must be linked, namely:

  • An organisation may not be linked to: accountant, authority, 'VpB’ client, employer, inspection.
  • A person may not be linked to: staff member, applicant, ‘IB’ client, user, pro forma employee (not visible)

If you want to use this function, you must first be authorised for this.
