AFAS Pocket - Preparations for a local installation

You activate the use for all environments in the Central Login Environment.

Note:

If you are using AFAS Online, do not perform this step. In that case, immediately continue with the configuration.

Various:

  • Profit Web services

    The Web services are installed when you install Profit. The Web services must be accessible over an Internet connection.

    If the URL for this component changes, you must block and unblock the Pocket App. Generate a new activation code and let your users know about it. All users must log in again.

  • Profit REST services

    The Profit REST Services must have been installed. For an application server with a Profit installation, this is the case by default. The Profit REST Services must be accessible over an Internet connection.

    If the URL for this component changes, you must block and unblock the Pocket App. Generate a new activation code and let your users know about it. All users must log in again.

  • Configure an email server in the Central Login Environment

    The mail server must have been configured in the central sign-on environment (this is not required in other environments).

Configuring AFAS Pocket in the central sign-on environment:

  1. Open the central sign-on environment.
  2. Go to: General / Environment / Central environment / Properties.
  3. Go to the tab: General.
  4. Select the Allow access via Rest Services check box.
  5. Enter the URL of the Profit REST Services. For example:

    https://yourcompany.com/ProfitRestServices/

    The slash at the end of the URL is required.

    Determining the URL if you have an externally accessible InSite site

    Note:

    You must have an SSL certificate because this Internet traffic is encrypted. A Self-signed Certificate is not enough.

    The URL (in the example: https://yourcompany.com) must be externally accessible and must have been correctly registered in the DNS.

Whitelist:

Open port 443 for communication with the proxy server for AFAS Pocket. Traffic via the following IP addresses must be allowed:

  • 104.40.213.115
  • 104.40.212.193
  • 104.40.210.85
  • 104.40.212.23

The server on which you generate the external key for each environment must have access to the following URL:

  • refinery.afaspocket.nl
