Sort lines in the entry window

You can sort lines by one or more fields. Sorting is not possible in all entry layouts: if an entry layout has a pre-defined sorting order, you can't change it.

Sort lines with a hotkey:

1. Use the Tab button to go to the column you want to sort.
2. Press Shift+Ctrl+S.

Sort lines with the mouse:

1. Double-click on the column header of the column you want to sort.

   The triangle in the column header indicates the sorting.

   

2. Double-click on the column header again to reverse the sorting.

Sort lines using the shortcut menu:

1. Right-click on the column header and select an option.
2. Click on the arrow in the right corner of the column header and select an option.

Sort by multiple columns:

1. Double-click on a column for the main sort.
2. Hold the Ctrl key down while you double-click the second, third and successive columns for the sub-sorts (see the number of triangles).
