Configure a debtor for collection specifications by e-mail

At the debtor level you can specify that you want to send the collection specification by e-mail.

To configure a debtor for collection specifications by e-mail:

  1. Go to: Financial / Debtor / Debtor.
  2. Open the properties of the debtor.
  3. Go to the tab:Organisation/person.
  4. Check if the Work e-mail has been completed.

    If you want to use the e-mail address of the contact person, complete the Work e-mail field on the Contacts tab in the properties of the contact person.

  5. Go to the tab: General.
  6. Check or change the preferred supply type and preferred contact.

    If you want to e-mail the collection specification, the supply type must be set to one of the methods that include e-mailing a PDF file.

    If you want to be able to deviate from the default supply type per specific report, you can also set up a deviating supply type and deviating contact on the Digital tab.

  7. Go to the tab: Payment.
  8. Select the Automatically collect and Collection specification check boxes. Lines that are not compressed do not appear on the collection specification.
  9. Go to the tab: Digital.

    If you want to set a specific supply type for the collection specification and want to deviate from the general supply type you have set on the General tab, perform the following steps:

    1. Click on the action: Maintain.

      At the top of the entry layout you can see the general settings concerning the supply type and contact for this creditor.

    2. In Report type:, select Payment specification.
    3. Select the supply type Print and send by E-mail.
    4. Select the contact person you want to e-mail the payment specification to.

      If an e-mail address has not been set for this contact person, Profit will use the general e-mail address of the creditor.

  10. Click on: Finish.
  11. Click on: OK.
