Add current rates
You record the currency history per Currency so that, during entry, Profit can determine the correct exchange rate for the voucher date.
Add current rates with a start date. The previous current rate is automatically given the day before the start date of the new exchange rate as the end date. This creates a currency history per currency code. Based on the voucher date, Profit determines the correct exchange rate during the entry.
You can change the exchange rate in question (once only) if this is allowed according to the administration settings.
Example:
You want to record the exchange rate of the US dollar. Your base currency is the Euro with an exchange rate of 1.00. For one Euro you receive USD 1.35, so for the USD currency, you set the exchange rate at 1.35. If you add an entry with a value of 2,700 USD, Profit will automatically convert it to the correct amount in Euros:
2,700 USD / 1.35 = 2,000 Euros.
To add a current rate:
- Go to: General / Configuration / Country settings / Currency.
- Open the properties of the currency code in question.

- Go to the tab: Current rates.
- Click on: New.

- Enter the new start date.
- Enter the new rate.
- Click on: Finish.
