Undo journalising depreciation fixed assets

You can undo the journal entries for depreciations made for one or more assets, starting from a specified financial year and a specified period. Profit will then reverse the journal entries in question.

Note:

You must be authorised for the action Undoing journalizing. The different actions such as Change asset code, Undoing journalizing and New can be separately authorised with action authorisation within the fixed assets authorisation.

To undo the journalising of Fixed Assets:

  1. Go to: Financial / Fixed assets / Asset.
  2. Select the asset for which you want to undo the journalising.

    You can select more than one asset and then perform the action for all your selections. Activate the selection column with Ctl+S and select the asset check box.

  3. Click on the action: Undoing journalizing.
  4. Enter a value in From financial year.

    This year contains the periods you want to undo.

  5. Enter a value in From period.

    You undo the depreciations as from this period.

  6. Enter a value in Voucher number.
  7. Enter a value in Undo description .
  8. Click on: Next.
  9. Select the asset for which you want to undo the journalising.
  10. Click on: Finish.
