Education documents

For the employer in education, you can generate the deed for a new employment or a change to an existing employment in Profit.

Description

It is mandatory for an employer in the education sector to provide the employee with a deed in the event of new employment or a change to an existing employment. We advise you to generate the deeds each month. You can include this in the monthly salary processing and deliveries process.

In Profit, the following deeds are available:

  • Deed of appointment

A deed of appointment is given to an employee who has been newly appointed. The employment can be in the form of main employment, additional employment, or sub-employment. So if you employ someone as a direct substitute for an employee, a deed of appointment is generated.

  • Deed of appointment of a teacher in training

You issue this deed for a teacher in training. Profit determines if it concerns a teacher in training, based on the job category of the employment.

  • Deed of dismissal

If you terminate an employment, you must provide the employee with a deed of dismissal. This can be either their main employment or their additional employment. Profit generates this deed if you enter the end of employment date for the employee.

  • Appendix

An appendix (deed of temporary extension) is provided to an employee who is given sub-employment. An employee with a sub-employment has a main employment the a fixed number of hours. For this, you select the Employment expansion check box in the properties of the contract of the employee. Also select this check box if it concerns a substitute you want to display on an appendix. If you do not select this check box, you generate a deed of appointment in this situation.

If there is a change in the appointment then an appendix results. A change to an appointment arises in the following situations:

    • An employee decides to work more or fewer hours within the current job size. In this case, you change the employee's timetable.
    • A employee goes to work at another educational institution. In this case, you change the employee's job.
    • An employee gets a higher or lower salary.
  • Appendix end

You must provide an end appendix (deed for end of temporary extension) when terminating a sub-employment for extension. If you enter the contract end date for the sub-employment, Profit will prepare an end appendix ready for generation.

  • Collective deed for appointments

A collective deed for appointments is used for an employee who does a lot of relief teaching. This collective deed contains all the deeds of appointment for relief teaching and is ready to generate.

  • Collective deed for extensions

A collective deed for extensions is used for an employee who does a lot of extra work outside normal employment. This collective deed contains all the extensions that are ready to generate.

A change of contract, salary, timetable or job line to an existing employment may result in a deed of appointment, deed of extension or collective deed.
