InSite application servers with a separate web server

You can install Profit InSite on a different application server than the Profit application server. These application servers must be part of the same Windows domain or there must be a 'trusted relationship' between the application servers.

Note:

The web server must be in the same Windows domain as the application server.

There is one exception to this. For more information, see Add a web server as separate web server.

Procedure

• Install IIS and .NET Framework

  Both IIS and .NET Framework 4.5.2 must be installed on one application server and on all web servers.

• Configure IIS
• Add a domain
• Add a web server
• Link a web server to a domain
• Set up the Profit Application Service
• Add a virtual path
• Add a site
• Configure the Profit Update Service
• Start the Profit Site Deployment tool
• Publish a website
• Authorise a user for portal access
• Log on to the site
