Menu of the site

The menu of the site determines the way in which a visitor navigates through the site. Visitors have access to the different pages and processes from the menu.

Description

In OutSite (and InSite), we distinguish various menus:

  • Menu:

You can present the menu of the site in different ways, by selecting one of the menu variants. For example, you can choose to have a menu at the top of the site that expands to display all the levels, or a menu that is on the left and can expand downwards. You can style the menus with theme settings, for example using a partial transparency in the background of a menu.

If the left zone does not have an active menu or if the right zone does not have an advisor, actions, workflow actions or direct references, then these zones are hidden. If a banner is in the left zone but there is no menu, then the left zone is not hidden.

  • Contents:

You can customise the menu in the centre to suit your own requirements. You can create different levels in this menu and add a different number of columns to each level. In this menu you place the contents of the page. In this zone the content and structure changes on each page, if required.

You can divide the contents of a portal page into no more than four columns. You can fill these columns with text, lists, images, etc.

  • Menu below:

The menu you display in the Bottom zone is independent of the main menu. In this zone you can display several menu options arranged horizontally or vertically. What you display here is the same on every page of the site. You can display two levels. The first is displayed horizontally, the second vertically below each item of the first menu. Levels below the second level are ignored. Separate text styles (Additional menu levels 1 and 2) are available. This may look as follows:
