Automatically determine the fixed settlement price for the assembled item

When you add an assembled item, you can specify that the settlement price should be determined automatically. On the Extra tab in the assembled item header, you can select the Automatically determine transfer price check box. Once you have selected this field, it is no longer possible to enter a price in the settlement price field.

When adding the parts to the assembled item, you see the settlement price of the various parts in the entry lines. This provides you with a view of how the settlement price is built up. For a part for which you do not track stock, you can still enter a settlement price so that it is included in the calculation of the settlement price of an assembled item. For costs and work types, the cost price is displayed in the Settlement price column and is included in the calculation.

Note:

When determining the value of the stock, only those articles for which you are tracking the stock are considered. For non-tracked articles, the settlement price is only an indication used for the determination of the settlement price of the assembled item. When using costs and work types in an assembled item, the cost price is used to determine the settlement price of the assembled item. Entries for these items do not result in financial stock entries.

Financial stock entries are only created for items for which the stock is tracked. Click here for a detailed example.

After you have entered all the parts of the assembled item, click on Finish. This is the moment when the settlement prices of the various parts are added together to determine the settlement price of the assembled item.

Note:

When you click on Finish, the settlement price of the assembled item is (re)determined and the entry layout is closed. If you want to know the calculated settlement price then open the assembled item's properties. For reasons of performance, we have chosen not to update the calculation of the assembled item's settlement price after every line but to wait until the input is completed.

This has the advantage that the price is immediately updated if, during the time the assembled item is being specified, a colleague changes the price of a part or of an assembled item in the assembled item.

If you do not select the Automatically determine transfer price check box, you can enter the price manually. This is only possible when a new assembled item is being created.

If you deselect the check box in an existing assembled item for which you previously determined the settlement price automatically, it is then not possible to enter the settlement price manually in the entry layout. You can now enter the settlement price using the Price composition action at the bottom of the screen:
