Add a conversion in AdWords (OutSite)

You add a conversion in Google AdWords.

Note:

When you add a conversion, the site must be accessible anonymously.

To add a conversion:

  1. Go to:Google AdWords.
  2. Click on:Tools and Analyses.
  3. Click on:Conversions.
  4. Click on:New Conversion.
  5. Enter a value inAction name. You enter the name you enter here as the description in Profit. You can also enter another name there.
  6. Enter a value inRevenues before the conversion. This value is used in Google AdWords for reporting purposes.
  7. Enter a value inView-through conversion period. This value is used in AdWords, but does not have to be copied to Profit.
  8. Enter a value inDeduplicate view-through conversion using search. This value is used in AdWords, but does not have to be copied to Profit.

    Note:

    If your conversion page is a page with a form, Google cannot validate the page because Google is forwarded to the form. To resolve this, the form must first be removed from the page in Profit Windows after which the wizard can be completed in Google. After that, the form can once again be linked to the page.

    Do not complete the other fields.

  9. Save the conversion.

    In AdWords, the JavaScript code is now generated and displayed. You require data from this script in Profit.

  10. Open Notepad.
  11. Copy the JavaScript code and paste it into Notepad.
