Determining the OutSite login method
Determine whether the (parts of) site are only accessible to logged in users and determine through which method users can log in.

Configuring the site:
- Go to: General / In & OutSite / Site.
- Open the properties of the site.
- Go to the tab: General.
- The Site only accessible to logged in visitors field determines to whom the site is accessible:
- Select this field if you want to protect the entire site. Visitors must then always log into the site.
- Deselect this field if you want to open the public section to anonymous visitors. The other pages can only be accessed by logged in visitors with the correct authorisation. This will depend on the classification of the functions. For more information, see Authorisation in OutSite.
Please note:
The next steps apply to Profit 18; see below the steps for Profit 17.
- Go to the Log on tab.
- Determine in the Method field whether you log in with your username/password or via your own identity provider. When you select Own identity provider, see the description of the Configuring the personal identity provider.
Please note:
As from Profit 18, you must select one of either methods. In Profit 17, it was still possible to use these methods alongside each other, but, since Profit 18, this has no longer been possible.
- Determine how you want to use two-factor authentication:
- If you select Log in using two-factor authentication is required, all users must log in with two-factor authentication.
- If you do not select Log in using two-factor authentication is required, users must at least log in with their username/password. Users can choose to use two-factor authentication.

Configuring how to log in (up to Profit 17):
You have the following options for logging in:
- Users log in using their username/password.
- Users log in to their own identity provider; see the description of the Configuring the personal identity provider.
- Users log in with a social media account.
