Site Statistics
Site administrators want to know about the visits to their websites. They can use this information, for example, to optimise the sites and thus increase the return on investment in the sites. By counting the number of visits, features and restrictions can be recorded that can be used to analyse visits to the site.
Description
You can use Google Analytics to track statistics.
Google Analytics maintains counts for the following site data:
- The number of pages visited;
- The number of visitors per page;
- The number of unique visitors;
- The number of returning visitors;
- The time that a visitor remains on a page and on the site;
- The number of clicks on all the hyperlinks within the site.

If sites have the same main domain, you can decide to use the same counter for all the sites.
Preparation
- Configure site statistics
You track the site statistics for a site using Google Analytics or Universal Analytics.
Procedure

- Multiple sites with the same counter
If multiple sites have the same main domain, you can decide to record visits to all these sites using the same counter. The main domain of a site is the domain name without sub-domain and without subfolders.
- Event tracking
In addition to the number of pages, site counters also count events taking place within a site. Examples of events include the number of clicks on a hyperlink or the number of times a form or form field has been completed.
