AdWords efficiency measurements

AdWords efficiency measurements tell you how many visitors have arrived on the site from a Google AdWord and how many have clicked through to a specific page or entered their data.

Description

With Google AdWords, Google provides the opportunity to place paid advertisements next to the search results displayed in Google. The advertisements become visible depending on the search terms entered and on the region and language of the visitor. Advertisers can log on to Google AdWords and maintain the advertisements and keywords and to view the visits and efficiency per advertisement and keyword.

An AdWord is a keyword in Google.

The efficiency of AdWords is measured by measuring the visits to a conversion page on the site that have come from a Google AdWord. A conversion page is a page that generates business results as soon as it is reached by the visitor. In most cases, this is the confirmation page displayed after an input form, but it can be any page within the site. The intervening pages accessed by the visitor to come to the conversion page are irrelevant here.

Example:

The EnYoi Brochure advertisement is displayed in Google if a search is made using the keyword 'EnYoiBrochure'. If a visitor clicks the advertisement, he/she goes to the 'Download Brochure' page within the site. The conversion page is the 'Thank you for downloading' page. It is irrelevant if pages are accessed between the Download brochure page and the Thank you for downloading page.
