Add jobs for Education

For the quarterly and annual 'DUO' delivery and the 'DUO GGL' delivery, you determine for each job whether it is a multi-school job and the job category it belongs to. A multi-school job is a job the employee performs for multiple schools.

You determine the job categories based on the following options:

  • Management (board of directors and management)

These are the managers that are fully responsible for (entire) educational institutions (such as members of the school board, members of the board of directors and school leaders). The categories 1 to 4 are classified in this group.

  • Middle management

These are persons that (functionally or otherwise) manage parts or departments within an educational institution. The categories 5 to 7 are classified in this group.

  • Teaching personnel

These are persons who in direct contact with the students or participants provide the training that systematically and methodically supports the students or participants in obtaining knowledge, insight and skills. The categories 8 to 11 are classified in this group.

  • Supporting personnel

These are persons who contribute to providing training with class supporting activities, performed under responsibility of a teacher. The categories 12 to 15 are classified in this group.

  • Administrative personnel

This is the supporting personnel, excluding the four categories mentioned above, that is not directly involved in the primary process (in direct contact with the students or participants providing the training that systematically and methodically supports the students or participants in obtaining knowledge, insight and skills). The categories 16 to 18 are classified in this group.

For the 'BVE (MBO)', you can use the job categories 1, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, and 17. When generating the 'DUO' file, Profit checks if you have linked a correct job category to the job.

Note:

The description of the Management (1), Management met onderwijskundige taak (6) and Leraar (9) categories for the 'BVE' sector deviate from the descriptions in Profit. In Profit you see the descriptions that apply to the 'VO/PO' sectors. If you need one of the categories for the 'BVE' sector, select the corresponding code.

You can import new jobs by selecting HR / Management / Import HRM / Job.

To configure jobs:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / Employer.
  2. Open the employer’s properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Job.
  4. Open the properties of the job.
  5. Select the preferred value for Job type.

Profit uses the job type to determine the job grades for the quarterly 'DUO' delivery. You can deviate from the selected value at the employee level.

  6. Select a job category of the ‘DUO’ in Function category.
  7. Select the Redundancy category category for redundancy.

When generating the redundancy overview, Profit takes this into account if you base the overview on a redundancy category.

  8. Select the Multi-school function check box, if it is applicable for the job. Because you can deviate from this at the employee level, you do have to add multiple equivalent jobs.
  9. Select the Include in 'GGL' (Prim. ed.) check box, if you want to include the job in the 'GGL' delivery. This only applies in primary education.
  10. Click on: OK.
