Dynamically update cost centres and cost units

For wage entries based on the project actual costing you can use the projects from the actual costing lines as cost centres when you journalise in Profit Payroll. You do not have to manually link these projects at the employer level. During the journalising, Profit automatically adds any missing cost centres, if you have configured this for the employer.

To configure dynamic cost centres and cost units:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / Employer.
  2. Open the employer’s properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Journalising.
  4. Select the Allocate per cost centre check box.
  5. Select the Link cost centre to projects check box.
  6. Select Project for Link cost centre to.

    Repeat the previous three steps for the cost unit.

  7. Click on: OK.
