Add the Government and Education agency to an employee
You add the Government and Education agency to the employee.
You can import the agency for the employees by selecting HR / Management / Import Agency / Government and Education.
To add the Government and Education agency to an employee:
- Go to: HR / Employee / Employee.
- Open the properties of the employee.
- Go to the tab: Agency.
- Click on: New.
- Select the Government and Education agency.
- Click on: Next.
- Specify the validity term.
- Enter the correct settings.
Determine whether you want to include an employee in the delivery of the premium files.
- Click on: Finish.
General
When you add a new sub-employment or additional employment, or use the Start of employment wizard, you can immediately designate the employment as a substitute employment. If you often use short substitute employments, you can use a so-called 'catch-all employment'. That is an 'empty' main employment to which you link sub-employments and additional employments.
Note:
When adding a succeeding employment, the settings of the employment to be succeeded are copied.
If the main employment is a substitute employment and the subsequent employment should not be a substitute employment, you report the employee's end of employment and then a new employment start.
You have the option of specifying Pool substitute in the substitute employment. If an employee stops as pool substitute but continues to work for the same employer and educational institution, you add a new employment in which you do not select the Pool substitute check box.
When you specify a substitute employment, Profit does not take into account (summer) holidays. Check the 'Vervangingsfonds' regulations to see if an employee can be declared to the 'Vervangingsfonds' or not. If the substitution has been recorded in the summer holiday, specify two substitution (sub-)employments. One for the part for which you cannot submit a declaration and the other for the part for which you can submit a declaration.

If a substitute falls sick, two situations are possible:
- If the Declare to 'Vervangingsfonds' check box is selected for the substitute and this substitute falls sick, you link the second substitute in the substitute employment to the original absentee. Both substitutes are then charged to the ‘vervangingsfonds’ in this period.
- If the Declare to 'Vervangingsfonds' check box is not selected for the substitute and this substitute falls sick, you link the second substitute in the substitute employment to the first substitute. In this case, the second substitute is charged to the 'Vervangingsfonds' in this period.
To add a substitute employment:
- Go to: HR / Employee / Employee.
- Open the properties of the employee.
- Go to the tab: Contract.
- Open the properties of the (sub-)employment.
- Go to the tab: Education.
- Specify that this employment is a substitute employment.
- Select the Extension check box if you want to generate the appendix as an education document. If you do not select this check box, Profit generates a deed of appointment.
- Select the employee that is being substituted for.
You can also select Pool substitute.
- Select the leave or absence entry of the absent employee.
- Select the Declare to 'Vervangingsfonds' check box.
If an absence can be declared partially, you add at least two employments. If the employment for the part that can be declared, you select this check box. If the employment for the part that cannot be declared, you do not select this check box. For more information on whether or not a substitute employment can be declared, consult the regulations of the 'Vervangingsfonds'.
If you deselect this check box, you check the value in the Insurance field.
- Select the Substitution within own FTE check box if the substitution is within the size of the employee's employment.
- Click on: OK.
