Negative lines when reporting the WIP complete

Negative lines that result from reporting the completion of WIP, are shown in red.

These negative lines can be created in two ways:

  1. The project has been reported complete in two different ways: First, an amount was reported as referring to completed WIP using the Cancel current selection WIP action, and then the Sign off WIP per line action was used. Because these actions have both been performed the following has occurred:

    Example:

If for the project an amount of € 1,000 can be reported as referring to completed WIP and you report an amount of € 500 using the Cancel current selection WIP action, you still have € 500 left for reporting. If you then start the Sign off WIP per line action, you can report the completion for all lines again. If you then report € 1,000 as referring to completed WIP while only € 500 is available for reporting, a red line appears with an amount of - € 500. If you report this line as referring to completed WIP, the total amount reported will be € 1,000 and the project balance will be 0 again.

  2. In case of negative entries on projects.

It is important that per project you select one method for reporting the completion of the WIP: you can select reporting the completion per line or at the project level.
