View the WIP period totals

The Work in progress view contains the totals of the work in progress per project per period. You can compare one financial year with another.

Example:

You want to compare the period from January to May 2013 with the same period from 2012:

  • Financial year: 2013
  • Financial year from ... to period: January up to and incl. May
  • Compare with financial year: 2012
  • Time frame from ... to period: January up to and incl. May

    Note:

When you enter the hours, you must also enter the project. Otherwise, it will not be included on the WIP totals overview.

To view the period totals for work in progress:

  1. Go to: Projects / Invoicing / WIP totals.
  2. Select a value for Year,Period from and Period up to and incl.
  3. If required, enter a value for Comparison year, Comparison period from and Comparison period through.
  4. Select a value for Compression.

Depending on the compression selected, you complete the bottom two fields. If you select the Total compression, you cannot complete these fields.

  5. Click on: Finish.

You now see the start and end values of the work in progress for the entire selected period compressed at the level specified. So this is the course of the work in progress.

    • The first column shows the administration.
    • The WIP Start and Einde OHW aantal uren columns contain the balances at the start of the specified period.
    • The Einde OHW  and  Einde OHW aantal uren columns contain the balances at the end of the specified period, based on the previous period and the amounts in the specified period(s).
    • The other columns depend on the compression selected.

You view entries by double-clicking on a line. The view shows both the start and end values per period for the entity in question (so, depending on the compression, total, project group, project, sales contact, OU, main declarant or declarant). This is therefore the trend in the work in progress. If, in the pre-entry screen, you have also set a comparative financial year, two tabs with entries are available.

    Note:

You can add columns to the view yourself. Click here for information on how to do this.
