Set a deviating sender for each message template

For each message template, you can set a deviating E-mail address sender. For example, you can use the sender address 'salesoffice@company.nl' for the message template of the 'Sales quotation'. Per message template, you can also specify that Profit should send the (work) e-mail address of the sending user as sender.

E-mail messages that you send from Profit are sent using the Profit e-mail server instead of the local e-mail program. As the sender, the message automatically uses the e-mail address entered in the e-mail settings in the environment properties. The settings for the sender in the message template have precedence over the general e-mail address of the sender in the environment properties and over the (deviating) general sender e-mail address in the administration properties.

For the e-mailing of the pay slips and annual statements, you can record a deviating e-mail address in the employer properties.

If you set Message sender as sender in the message template, Profit does not use the address in E-mail address sender.

To set a deviating sender e-mail address for each message template:

  1. Go to: General / Management / Message / Message template.
  2. Open the properties of the message template.
  3. Enter a value in E-mail address of a specific address if you want Profit to specify this in e-mail messages based on this message template. For example, 'verkoopbinnendienst@bedrijf.nl'.
  4. Select the E-mailadres en naam ingelogde gebruiker als afzender gebruiken check box if Profit should specify the work e-mail address of the sender in the e-mail message.

If you have selected this check box already, Profit will not use the E-mail address field in this window.

  5. Click on: OK.
  6. If it is a new message template that you want to use as the default, link it in the correct location.
  7. If necessary, use the Output action to check which sender is being used. For example, you can use a deviating issue method for a bulk message via e-mail and then check the e-mail example.
