Move an existing bank link to another environment (export and import)

In Profit, you can move an existing bank link for a bank account in one environment to the same bank account in another environment or another administration. You would do this, for example, if a bank account occurs twice, once in one environment and once in another environment, but the bank integration is linked to the wrong instance of the account. In that case, you can move (export) this bank link, including the credentials, and import it into the correct environment/administration.

You can only import the bank integration into an environment that has the same participant number and bank account number.

Note:

You can ensure that not all users can perform the action. You configure this using action authorisation.

To move (export) a bank link:

  1. Go to: General / Configuration / Payment settings / Bank account.

    Fin_Bankkoppeling verhuizen (10)

  2. Select the line with the required bank account number.

The bank account must have been activated for the bank integration and should not be blocked. Otherwise a message appears notifying you that the bank integration cannot be exported.

The Gbl. check box in the view indicates if a bank account has been blocked. The bank integration is activated if one of the Inlezen bankafschrift, Verzenden betaling and Verzenden incasso check boxes has been selected. If you do not see these fields in the view, you can adjust the view by adding these fields. You can also check the Bank integration tab in the properties of the bank account.

  3. Click on the action: Export bank integration.

    Fin_Bankkoppeling verhuizen (50)

In Profit, the above message appears.

  4. Click on Yes in the message.

The data is exported as a .BAC file.

A message appears notifying you that the bank integration has been exported.

  5. Open the properties of the bank account to check if the bank link has been removed.
  6. Go to the tab: Bank integration
  7. Check if the bank integration line has been deleted.

To import the bank link:

  1. First open the environment and/or administration in which you want to import the bank integration.
  2. Go to: General / Configuration / Payment settings / Bank account.
  3. Select the line with the required bank account number.
  4. Click on the action: Import bank integration.
  5. Select the .BAC file containing the data.
