Create a menu item for Subscriptions in InSite

You add the Subscriptions menu item to the site. On this portal page, you automatically have the data for Subscriptions.

To create a Subscriptions menu item:

1. Log on and start Site management.
   1. Open the site.
   2. Log on with the username and password.
   3. Click on: OK.
   4. Click on the user name at the top right.

      

   5. Click on: Site management.

2. Click on: New.

   You do this at the position where you want to add a menu item.

3. Enter the description. 

   In this example Abonnementen.

4. Select Create new submenu.
5. Click on: Next.
6. Select the Subscriptions portal page for Page.
7. Click on: Add. 

To link a menu item to an overview:

1. Click on: Menu in the Site frame. You will find this menu option in the Site management bar.

   You now see a list of all the menu items of the site.

   

2. Go to: [Subscriptions].

   It is between square brackets to indicate that no page or overview has been linked to it yet.

3. Click on: New after the Abonnementen menu.
4. Enter Abonnementen in Menu item.
5. Select Refer to existing page in Action.
6. Click on: Next.
7. In Page select the Subscriptions page with the ‘Overview’ behaviour.
8. Click on: Add.

   You now return to the list with the site’s menu items.

   You see that the Subscriptions menu item is no longer surrounded by square brackets.

9. Behind the new Subscriptions sub-menu item (the second), click on the Edit menu item button.
10. Deselect the Show in menu check box.

    Presently you have only one sub-menu item, so it is not necessary to display this in a menu.

11. Click on: Modify.
12. Close the menu.
