Filter authorisation for employee's own data
In Employee Self Service (ESS), staff members/users can view and change their own information. Among other things, you can grant an employee rights to the 'HR Cockpit' menu option. By default, this menu option has several employee views in which all employees are shown. Using filter authorisation, you can limit this view to the employee data of the user who is logged on.
Filter authorisation for an employee's own data:
- Go to: General / Management / Authorisation tool.
- Click on: Data filter maintenance.
Profit shows the tables by which you can filter.
- Select HRM - Employees.
- Add the following filter:
- Click on: Refresh. This allows you to test the filter.
The result is based on the user who is logged on.
- Click on: OK.
- Click on Yes if Profit reports that only the top part of the filter is saved and close the window.
To link an authorisation filter to an authorisation group:
- Go to the tab: Group maintenance.
- Select the Everybody group.
- Activate the Own employee data filter via HR / Employee / Employee (MSS) / Filters.
