Import options for fields
The fields in an import file cannot always be copied to Profit directly. Usually this is because the fields to be imported have a different layout. Via the import options Profit can convert the fields to the correct layout.
Example:
In the import file a complete address is located in a single field. In Profit, however, separate fields are used for the street, house number and addition.
Via the import options you can split the address field over the fields in Profit.
Procedure
- Empty field via import
You can clear a field by importing an empty value. Profit will clear the field for each import line. You can only do this for non-mandatory fields.
- Import fixed value for a field
For a field you can set the default value of the field. Each imported record will be given the same value in the field in question.
- Automatically edit import field for this imported
You can import a field from the import file by linking the field to a Profit field in the import definition. It may, however, be necessary to edit the field to be imported before it is actually imported into Profit.
- Automatically add consecutive number to field via import
When you import you can automatically number a field.
- Enter field value for each line during import
You can set that the value for a certain field is requested for every record when importing.
- Enter field value once during import
While importing you enter a value for a field that applies to all the records to be imported.
- Import images
You can import images, for example for persons, employees, employers (logos), projects, and articles.
