Full PCC installation via InSite

Use this procedure if the PCC has not yet been installed on your workstation. The PCC is a Windows application that you install on a Windows PC running a Windows version supported by AFAS.

You download two files: a Setup file and a settings file for a specific environment. You link the environment by installing the settings file.

To download the files:

Close Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. You do not have to uninstall the Profit Office Connector first.

1. Open the InSite site (your own InSite site) you want to use in combination with the Profit Communication Center.
2. Log on to the site.
3. Click on:Communication Center.

   

4. Click on: Download PCC installation file.
5. If a security message appears, accept the file to be downloaded. The example below is based on Google Chrome. Click on the arrow and indicate that you want to accept/keep the download.

   

6. Click on: Download PCC settings.
7. Save the settings file on your workstation.

    Note:

   The settings are personal; do not share the file with others. You can run the settings file once. Do not wait too long, as the file is only valid for a limited period of time. If the validity has expired, you download a new file and run this.

To install the PCC on your workstation and link the first environment:

1. Double-click on the PccSetup installation file to start the installation.
2. Select the language for the installation wizard.
3. Click on: OK.

   The welcome page appears.

4. Click on: Next.
5. Profit displays the default location for the installation of the software.
6. Click on: Change to select a different location. This may be necessary, for example, if you want to install the software on a different hard drive.
7. Click on: Next.
8. Click on: Install.

   The installation is run.

9. Click on: Finish.
10. Double-click on the Settings.poci file to link the environment.

    After the installation, the Profit Communication Center applies the settings and tries to establish a connection with Profit. When this process is successfully completed, the message Environment added successfully is displayed. After this you can use the Profit Communication Center.

    If you use AFAS Online, another message appears.

    

Blocking message from Windows SmartScreen:

Windows SmartScreen can display a security message when you try to install the PCC.

2. Click on: Toch uitvoeren.
