Copy values from custom fields

Copy the values in a custom field to another custom field. You can use this, for example, after you import custom fields. You can copy the values saved in an old field to a new (imported) custom field.

You can also copy the values of a fixed field to a custom field.

Example:

There is a 'Branch code' for each sales representative. There is a code set in it for each sales representative, like 001, 002, 003, etc.

For this file you have imported a new custom field, namely 'Location'. You can now copy the contents of the old 'Branch code' field to 'Location'. This copying action applies to all the sales representatives.

Copy values from custom fields:

1. Go to: General / Management / Management tool.
2. Open the Function group.
3. Open the file.
4. Go to the tab: Fields.
5. Click on: Copy.
6. Select the field whose values you want to copy and the field to which the values should be copied.
7. Select the Overwrite existing field values check box if any values present in the field in To field can be overwritten.
8. Click on: Finish.
