Check for duplicate organisations

Profit checks for duplicate entries when you add organisations. If an organisation with the same name or the same address is already present in the database, a message is displayed.

Handle this message as follows:

• New organisation: The organisation is now added directly, without any further checks. Note: This may result in duplicates!
• Display results: A new view appears showing possibly matching organisations. Check whether the organisation you are trying to create, already exists.
  • Does the view show the organisation you wanted to enter? Click on Cancel.
  • In the 'Add organisation wizard' click on Cancel again.
• Cancel: You are returned to the input window.

If there are no organisations in the database that are very similar to the current one, you automatically proceed to the next step of the wizard.
