Configure age limits for debtors and creditors

You set the age limits for the ageing analysis of debtors and creditors. The ageing analysis organises the outstanding items based on these limits. You record these limits per environment.

You have organised the limits as follows, for example:

  • Age limit 1 = 30
  • Age limit 2 = 60
  • Age limit 3 = 90
  • Age limit 4 = 120
  • Age limit 5 = 150
  • Age limit 6 = 180

In this case, the columns in the ageing analysis are laid out as follows:

Column

Description

< 30

This column shows outstanding amounts up to the 1st age limit. In this example, only the amounts of the invoices that have been outstanding less than 30 days are shown.

30-60

This column shows outstanding amounts from the 1st to the 2nd age limit. In this example, only the amounts of the invoices that have been outstanding for 30 to 60 days are shown.

60-90

This column shows outstanding amounts from the 2nd to the 3rd age limit. In this example, only the amounts of the invoices that have been outstanding for 60 to 90 days are shown.

90-120

This column shows outstanding amounts from the 3rd to the 4th age limit. In this example, only the amounts of the invoices that have been outstanding for 90 to 120 days are shown.

120-150

This column shows outstanding amounts from the 4th to the 5th age limit. In this example, only the amounts of the invoices that have been outstanding for 120 to 150 days are shown.

150-180

This column shows outstanding amounts from the 5th to the 6th age limit. In this example, only the amounts of the invoices that have been outstanding for 150 to 180 days are shown.

>= 180

This column shows outstanding amounts that are above the 6th age limit. In this example, only the amounts of the invoices that have been outstanding for more than 180 days are shown.

The column names and descriptions in the output of the ageing analysis do not automatically take into account the age limits you have set. If you change the limits, you have to manually change these column descriptions in the data collection of the output (view, report or analysis). For example, if you change age limit 1 to 20 days, you have to change the column name in the view of the ageing analysis to '< 20' yourself.
