Delete an asset

You can delete an asset if it has not yet been journalised. If you want to delete an asset that has been journalised then you must first undo the journal entries made for the asset, after which you can delete it.

Note: 

If you delete an asset then you delete the asset from the database. You can also dispose of an asset or place it out of use. If an asset is disposed of, the residual value is generally zero. This could be because the asset has reached the end of its life span or because the asset has been heavily damaged. If an asset is placed out of use (thus not sold or disposed of) then you only need to fill the Date out of use field on the General tab.
