View leave in Profit Calendar
Profit shows leave requests and/or entries as appointments in Profit Calendar, from the date you enabled the relevant integration.
Leave entries have the following features:
- Profit Calendar makes an appointment per day based on a leave entry. On public holidays Profit does not display any leave in Profit Calendar. However, because of the (mandatory) integration with the public holiday table of the employer, you can always see on what days the employee is free.
If the employee has a weekly or a work timetable, Profit can determine exactly on which days and at what times there is leave, based on the timetable calendar. This is copied to the calendar. On the days that the employee is not working, Profit Calendar does not show any leave appointments.
This is not the case with a variable work pattern: on all the days in between the start and end date Profit shows an appointment, including on public holidays.
- Profit uses the appointment type (with associated colour) that you have linked in the settings. You can link a different appointment type for leave entries by going to the properties of the leave type.
- The description is always Leave.
Leave requests have the following features:
- Profit uses one continuous appointment for a leave request.
- Profit always uses the appointment type (with associated colour) that you have linked in the settings. Profit thus displays all leave requests in the same colour, irrespective of the leave type used.
- The description is always Leave (awaiting approval).
To view the leave in Profit Calendar:
- Go to: General / Calendar / Calendar.
- Open the calendar.
Profit displays the relevant appointments and the timetable and the public holidays.
- Right-click on the appointment.
- Click on: Leave entry properties.
If you are authorised, you can modify the leave entry.
You can also open the appointment, but you cannot change an appointment that is based on a leave entry.
