Firewall modifications
If you use a firewall, the port on which the traffic is received on the firewall must be the same port the Profit Application Service listens to.
Example:
If the Profit Application Service is configured with port 443, the firewall must accept traffic on port 443. If you have configured the Profit Application Service to use a different port, you should also use this different port for the firewall.
You can also put the site under its own sub-domain. You must request this sub-domain from your service provider yourself. In this case, you receive your own IP address from AFAS Online. During the installation, the site is first added under the AFAS Online domain. Once the functionality of the site works properly, you can move it over to your own domain.
Note:
You do not need to authenticate the Profit Application Service, because all authentication is handled by Profit. If you do in fact authenticate the Profit Application Service, Profit will not be able to access the Profit Application Service, and thus will also not be able to retrieve data from the back office. In this case you must also make the site (virtual directory) of the Profit Application Service available 'anonymously'.
