Add a basic discount (sales)

You can use the wizard for a new discount to add a basic discount or you can use the Maintain action. If you use the wizard for a new discount to add a basic discount then Profit will lead you through the data.

In the wizard, you first select the level to which you want to add the basic discount. Then enter the discount. You can calculate the basic discount, enter a discount yourself or add a volume discount. You can also specify whether it is a fixed discount, and so on.

To add a basic discount:

1. Go to: 
   • Order Management / Sales / Price/discount / Basic discount
   • Order Management / Purchase / Price/Discount / Basic discount.
2. Click on: New. 
3. Select the level to at which you want to add the discount:Item code, Article group or Price group.
4. Click on: Next. 
5. Depending on your choice, select the article code / article group / price group.
   • Press F9 in Item code if you want to make a quick selection on one of the item code subfilters. Generally you can select from the basic data with all items and a list containing only items that already appear in the current list.
   • Press F10 in Item code if you want to go quickly to the first subfilter.
6. Select the Based on % check box if you want to enter a Percentage discount. Otherwise, enter the Discount amout.
7. If applicable, change the Currency.
8. Change the start date in Start, if required.
9. In End date, enter the date until when the promotional discount is valid.
10. Complete any remaining fields.
11. Click on: Finish.
