Change password

Change the Profit password regularly to prevent misuse.

This is only possible if you normally have to specify your user name and password when you log in. If you are logged in to Profit automatically based on your Windows user name (Windows authentication), you cannot change your password in Profit.

If you are a Profit administrator and you have access to the Authorisation tool, you can also change your password using this tool.

To change the password:

Go to: General / User / Change password.
Profit displays a window with your user name.
First enter your old (current) password.
Enter your new password and confirm it.
Click on: OK.

The next time that you start Profit, you need to log on with the new password.
