Authorise a user group for menu options

You can create a menu (user menu) per group.

You can also record the authorisation per user, but this does not benefit clarity and maintainability. We therefore recommend always setting the authorisation per user group.

To authorise a group for menu options:

  1. Go to: General / Management / Authorisation tool.
  2. Go to the tab: Group maintenance.
  3. Select the user group: Iedereen (All Profit users).

In this group you assign the rights for all employees (every employee automatically is a member of this group). These are rights that all employees must at least have, such as changing their own password.

  4. Go to the tab: Menu.
  5. Select the Change password check box. Profit automatically selects the check boxes for the associated parent menus (General and User).

You now continue with the other groups, assigning the minimum authorisation required to each group.

  6. Select the user group.

You can completely expand the menu using the button and collapse it using the button .

  7. Select a submenu or a menu option.

  8. Because you are selecting a submenu, Profit asks if you also want to select the underlying menu options. Answer this question with Yes. Profit selects all the menu options in the menu. Profit also selects parent menu options.

Because you are deselecting a submenu, Profit asks if you also want to deselect the underlying menu options. Answer this question with Yes. Profit deselects all the menu options of the submenu.

  9. You can also select or deselect individual menu options.
  10. Close the Authorisation tool.
  11. Restart Profit to apply the settings.
