Refresh current data (Command Line Utility)

Command line action for refreshing the current data. This is important for Profit HR and Profit CRM.

Among other things, refreshing/updating relates to updating the current job, organisational unit and the timetable for employees. The substitutes are also updated. It may be useful to run the command line utility again in the daytime, for example, after recording absence entries in the morning (this refreshes the substitutes). Generally it is not useful to run this command too frequently.

Note:

This action is mandatory for Profit HR and Profit Payroll.

Updating the current data via a command line eliminates the need for you to perform this action manually. You can also schedule this option via Profit. In that case you do not have to configure the command line.

Note:

Bear in mind the following points when running the batch file:

  • You must always run the batch file on the application server:
  • Always run the batch file after midnight, as this function works on the basis of the current date. In this case the data that apply from the current date will also be updated (such as an employee who moves from one organisational unit to another on that particular date).
  • When generating alerts, you must do this after updating the current data.
  • You should preferably create backups after updating the current data, in which case the backups will also contain the updated current tables.
