View a definition

In the properties of the definition, you see when the definition was last called (consulted) or changed. You can also use the properties for authorisation of definitions.

To view a definition:

1. Go to:
   • General / Output / Management / Report.
   • General / Output / Management / GetConnector.
   • General / Output / Management / Analysis
   • General / Management / Entry layout.
   • General / Output / Management / Document.
   • Fiscal / Output / Management / Fiscal report set.
   • HR / Output / Management / Report set.
   • For views, go to the function that the view is a part of. Display the Views toolbar using Ctrl+Shift+K if it is not visible. Click on Views / Management in the view bar.
2.  Click on the action: Definition.
3. Complete the fields.
   • Description
   • Definition category / Definition group

     Use these data for authorisation of definitions.

   • Owner

     For owner, use the ‘administrator' of the definition, for example. You can also authorise by owner.

   • Product / Function group
   • To be used as template

     Select this check box if you plan to use this definition as the basis (template) for other definitions of this type.

   • Blocked: select this check box if it is (temporarily) not allowed to use this definition. You can unblock the entry layout by displaying the entry layout properties and deselecting this check box.

   Note:

   Reports and analyses are available in the menu corresponding to the product. For example, if the Financial product is linked to a report, you can also view the report by selecting Financial / Output / Report.

4. Go to the tab: Logging.

   You can see the default data on the definition of the analysis, the report, the document or the entry layout. Among other things, you can see which user added the definition. You can also see the name of the user and the time of the last change. Finally, you can see the same information on the last use of the definition.
