Export and import custom fields

You can export and import custom fields to another environment.

Description

If you export a custom field, Profit places the following data in the export file:

• Properties of the custom field, such as Label, Column text, Tooltip, etc.
• Administrator settings of the custom field.
• If the custom field has a table link, the linked custom table is also exported.

When you importProfit also imports the custom field with the above data.

You cannot export custom fields added before Profit 2008, Build 3.

Procedure

• Export custom fields

  Export custom files to a file.

• Import custom fields

  Import a file with custom fields.

• Copy values from custom fields

  Copy the values in a custom field to another custom field.
