Filter variables (filter tags) in English

You can filter using variables (tags) instead of fixed values. This is especially useful in filters you save for reuse. You can use the filters below if you use the language above as the basic language for Profit. The basic language is determined by the licence.

All filter variables are shown in the table below. Bear in mind that a filter variable will only work for a field that is suitable for the variable type. Most variables filter on year, day or date and can only be used for date or date/time fields.

The Dutch tags will not work if English is your basic language.

Date tags:

 

[Week]

Current week. (Not available in the entry program or the properties window).

[Year]

Current year. (Not available in the entry program or the properties window).

[Today]

Current date (system date).

For date/time fields there are some special points of interest.

[Tomorrow]

Current date + 1 day (system date + 1)

[Day after tomorrow]

Current date + 2 days (system date + 2)

[Yesterday]

Current date - 1 day (system date - 1)

[Day before yesterday]

Current date - 2 days (system date - 2)

[Start of the week]

First day of the current week

[End of the week]

Last day of the current week

[Start of the month]

First day of the current month

[End of the month]

Last day of the current month

[Month - 1 month]

If a field shows a month number, you can use this variable to retrieve the preceding month.

[Now]

Current date and current time (system date and time)

[Time]

Current time (system time).

User:

 

[Employer]

The employer who is linked to the logged-in employee (linked to the logged in user).

Logged on user.

You can use the date tags together with additional variables, to have Profit filter by other dates and times. The additional variables are:

  • [Day], [Days] = Day/Days
  • [Week], [Weeks] = Week/Weeks
  • [Month], [Months] = Month/Months
  • [Year], [Years] = Year/Years
  • [Hours] = Hour/Hours
  • [Minute] = Minute/Minutes
  • [Second] = Sec/Second/Seconds
