Configure a settlement account relationship

In this example we explain the configuration of multiple administrations with settlement account relationships.

Configuration example:

You have, for example, three administrations.

1. Add the accounts to the central chart of accounts of your environment, for example:
   • 1531 Rek.crt Werkmij  X
   • 1532 Rek.crt Werkmij  Y
   • 1533 Rek.crt Holding
2. In each administration add a variable general journal rekening courant. For example, journal 98.
3. Go to:Financial / Management / Settlement account configuration.
4. Add the following configurations:

   2 Op. comp Y	1531 Sett.acc Op. comp. X	1 Op. comp X	1532 Sett.acc Op. comp. Y	98
   2 Op. comp Y	1533 Sett. acc Holding	3 Holding	1532 Sett.acc Op. comp. Y	98
   3 Holding	1531 Sett.acc Op. comp. X	1 Op. comp X	1533 Sett. acc Holding	98
   3 Holding	1532 Sett.acc Op. comp. Y	2 Op. comp Y	1533 Sett. acc Holding	98

Explanation of the chart: Each line represents a single link, for example from administration 1 to administration 2, but not from 2 to 1. The latter requires a separate link. You interpret the first line, for example, as follows: from administration 1 (Werkmij X) a transfer takes place from account 1532 (Rek.crt Werkmij  Y) to administration 2 (Werkmij Y) to account 1531 (Rek.crt Werkmij  X).

Thus you can post an entry to administration 3 from administrations 1 and 2 by posting to account 1533 (Rek.crt Holding) from within these administrations.
