Use emphasis in a menu
You can set a menu item so that it has (more) emphasis. This item is then displayed differently in the menu. By default you have a number of 'Emphasis' options; you cannot add (or delete) values. Exactly how the emphasis is displayed depends on the Theme you selected.
Note:
You record the 'Emphasis' in the properties of a page. First check in the properties of the menu item whether a page has been linked. You can only emphasise the menu if you use the AFAS theme as the default theme.
To use emphasis in a menu:
- Open the site.
- Log on with the username and password.
- Click on the arrow after the username in the top right corner of the window.
- Click on: Site management.
- Click on: the menu item for which you want to change the emphasis.
- Open the properties of the menu item.

- Click on: Edit (in the Page frame).
- Select the emphasis you want to give the menu item.
- Click on: Save.
- Click on: Publish.
- Click on: Yes.
- Click on: Contents in the Display frame.
In the example below, the 'Services' menu item has been emphasised and the 'News' menu item has been given extra emphasis. You will recognise the extra emphasis because of the reversed background colour, and because of the fact that the button is now 'separate' from the other menu items:
