Delete a menu item

You can remove a menu item. if you hide a menu item, it is still present when you open the site map, for instance. It is also easy to make it visible again by selecting the 'Show in menu' check box in the menu item properties. If you delete a menu item, it is no longer available on your site and you must then add a new menu item if you want to show the menu item again on the website.

Note:

You cannot delete a menu item if it is being used as a 'Source' for a banner. A message is then displayed showing the page that uses the banner as source.

To delete a menu item:

1. Log on and start Site management.
   1. Open the site.
   2. Log on with the username and password.
   3. Click on: OK.
   4. Click on the user name at the top right.

      

   5. Click on: Site management.

2. Click on: Menu in the Site frame.
3. Click on: the Delete button of the menu item you want to delete.
4. Click on: Yes.
5. Close the menu.
6. Click on: Log off.
7. Go to: the menu from which you deleted an item.

   Check that the menu item has been deleted.
