Lot article in a goods receipt

When entering a goods receipt for a lot article, you also record the lot (lot number). You can also register multiple lots in one goods receipt.

A lot number does not have to be unique in the database but it should form a unique combination with the article: This means that a lot number can appear for an article only once.

You can post an entry to an existing lot number and also to a new one. In the latter case, the lot number is added directly to the view that contains the lot numbers.

You record the Expiry date, for instance, the 'Use by' date, per lot and only for new lots. The expiration date cannot be changed for existing lots.

To enter a lot article in a goods receipt:

  1. Go to: Order Management / Purchase process / Receipt.
  2. Click on: New.
