To calculate the wage component value:

You now know the value of the calculation basis and have already found out the number of periods. According to the CLA, the holiday allowance is 8% of the annual salary. In this example you calculate the value of the 'Pensioengevend jaarloon (berekend)' wage component for employee .

  1. The formula for the calculation rule is: Calculation basis of age-from period x number of periods + holiday allowance
  2. The formula for employee is: 4,008 x 12 + 4,170.85 = 52,266.85

You see that the value calculated does not match the value of the 'Pensioengevend jaarloon (berekend)' wage component. The difference is 52,266.85 - 48,096 = 4,170.85. This difference is the holiday allowance. Thus the holiday allowance is not included in the calculation of the 'Pensioengevend jaarloon (berekend)' wage component. The pension premium for is indeed too low.
