Add wage components to the employer

The preference is for you to set up the wage components at the highest possible level, since this results in the least possible maintenance. However, sometimes a regulation applies to a specific employer. In such instances you must add a wage component to an employer.

All values that you record are time-dependent. This means that at a minimum a start date must be entered and that in the event of changes a new value is added with a new start date as a result of which the end date of the previous value is automatically entered by Profit.

By recording time-dependent values, you save the history of these values and you can redo calculations made in the past. Furthermore, you can immediately record arrangements that only apply for a certain period of time by specifying the start as well as end dates. This means that when its term expires you no longer need to concern yourself with that arrangement.

To add a wage component:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / Employer.
  2. Open the employer’s properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Wage component.

Profit CLAs are supplied with a default configuration that is maintained by AFAS. To make a distinction between the default configuration and your own configuration, you see your own wage components in a different colour (purple).

  4. Click on: New.
  5. Open the view:
    • Wage components activatable at EMR level

Profit displays the wage components that can be activated at the employer level. These wage components have been deactivated at the employer level using the consult code to improve salary processing performance.

    • Wage components editable on EMR level

Profit displays the wage components that can be added on the basis of the employer’s linked CLAs. Wage components that have already been changed at the employer level are not shown. This also applies to wage components that do not have any parameters that can be changed at the employer level.

  6. Select the wage component.
  7. Click on: Finish.

Profit displays a new window with the parameters of the wage component to be added.

In the Mut. bij mdw., Mut. bij wg. and Chng. with CLA columns you will find the levels at which the parameter can be changed.

  8. Change the parameter:
    1. Open the parameter's properties.

Profit displays the History parameter view. This view does not yet display any lines of course.

    2. Click on: New.
    3. Enter the start date, end date and value. Entering an end date is not mandatory.
    4. Click on: Finish.

Profit now displays the added parameter value.

    5. Click on: OK.
  9. Click on: OK.
