Add or update a parameter value at the employer level

For most entries you enter a new parameter value with a specific effective date.

Example:

An employer applies a fixed lunch expense allowance of 80.00 per month. You would like to increase this to 100.00 per month effective May 1.

To do this you look up the relevant wage component/parameter in the employer’s properties. You add a new line to the parameter with an effective date of May 1 and a value of 100.00.

New parameter value effective from a specific date

If a parameter value change becomes effective on a certain date, you must create a new line for this parameter. The new line contains the new value and a new effective date.

To add a new parameter line:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / Employer.
  2. Open the employer’s properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Wage component.
  4. Open the properties of the wage component.
  5. Click on: New.

Profit automatically terminates the previous line on the day prior to the effective date of the new line.

  6. Enter the start date, end date and value. Entering an end date is not mandatory.
  7. Click on: Finish.
  8. Click on: OK.

Which parameter is used in the wage calculation is evident from the start and end dates. If the view no longer contains the old parameter value, select the Wage components (employer) view.

Change the current parameter value

This method can be used to change an existing parameter at the employer level. You may want to do this, for example, to correct an error. If you already finally processed the salary for the employer’s affected employees under the linked CLA during the parameter’s period of validity, this will result in a RAE entry. To change a parameter value from a specific effective date, you should use a different method: in that case you add a new line to the parameter.

To immediately change a parameter value:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / Employer.
  2. Open the employer’s properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Wage component.
  4. Select the wage component with the parameter value that you want to change.
  5. Click on the action: Change line.
  6. Enter the start date, end date and value. Entering an end date is not mandatory.
  7. Click on: OK.
