Holiday allowance in Education

Calculating the holiday allowance takes into account the termination of sub- and main employments. In the Education sector, you can use sub-employments. If a teacher acts as a substitute for another teacher, the teacher is given a sub-employment as a relief teacher.

The Profit CLA includes the following wage components for this purpose:

  • 161.002.501 'Te betalen vakantietoeslag subdienstverbanden'
  • 100.002.014 'Vakantietoeslag'
  • 100.002.503 'Reservering vakantietoeslag'

Reservation

The holiday allowance reservation takes place periodically for sub- and main employments via 100.002.503 'Reservering vakantietoeslag'.

Payment of the holiday allowance

If a sub- or main employment ends in a period in which the holiday allowance is not being paid, the payment is suppressed. In this case, Profit writes the cumulative value of the reservation for the employment in question to the 161.002.501 'Te betalen vakantietoeslag subdienstverbanden' wage component. This only applies if the labour relation does not end. If the labour relation ends at the same time as a sub-employment or main employment, a payment is made.
