Basic environment

A basic environment is an environment which is used as a basis for new environments.

You must configure the basic environment as completely as possible, including authorisation and custom configuration. When basing a new environment on a basic environment, you copy the entire configuration of the basic environment to the new environment.

Description

Working with basic environments is useful for accountancy firms, for example. You can distinguish various types of customers based on sector, company size, etc. and you can add a basic environment for each type of customer. The basic environment contains, for example, the chart of accounts, the journals and the VAT codes. If you have to add a new environment for a customer, you can base it on a basic environment. You only have to enter their own details, such as debtors, creditors and articles.
