Pivot tables and charts

Pivot tables are a crucial part of the analyses in Profit. Using pivot tables, you can arrange, summarise and totalise data (lines) on a worksheet. You determine the layout of the pivot table yourself.

Using a pivot table, you can quickly convert a large amount of information to a simple overview. You plot the data on a horizontal and a vertical axis. You determine which fields you use for grouping data and performing calculations.

This way, you can create, for example, an overview of the turnover per debtor per year/region/product group, based on invoice lines.

Procedure
  • Add a pivot table

From a worksheet with lines you add a new worksheet for the pivot table. For this purpose you use a special function from the Profit menu in Microsoft Excel, instead of the default function of Microsoft Excel.

  • Add a pivot chart

From a worksheet with lines you add a pivot chart.
