View an asset

There are several ways to view an asset.

Contents

View assets

An asset is always linked to a specific administration through the asset group. By default, Profit only displays the assets of the opened (current) administration in the Assets view, but you can view all assets in the same view. In this case, Profit only displays the assets for the administrations for which you are authorised.

To view an asset:

  1. Go to: Financial / Fixed assets / Asset.
  2. Click on: All administrations.

In this view Profit displays an extra column with the administration code.

Furthermore, you also see the book value asset sale, the linked employee and the status in the view.

    Properties

    1

    Non-asset (still to be processed)

An asset that only contains the master data. There is not yet any financial data (such as purchase price and depreciation). This could be because of a segregation of duties, an import or because values are not yet known.

You can change a non-asset into a linked asset.

    2

    Linked (not depreciated)

An asset that forms part of an asset group that has a combined depreciation. You do not depreciate a linked asset; the depreciation takes place on the main asset.

    3

    Asset (not depreciated)

An asset such as land that you do not depreciate. Land is considered to be an asset that does not decrease in value.

    4

    Asset (depreciated)

    An asset that you depreciate.

By selecting the Fisc. depreciation and/or Comm. depreciation check boxes, you create an asset (depreciated).

    5

    Out of use

An asset for which you have completed the Date out of use field. This does not necessarily mean that the asset is sold.

  3. Open the properties of an asset.

Profit shows the status at the top right.

  4. Go to the tab: Financial.

Profit displays the most important financial data for the asset.

  5. Go to the tab: Fiscal periods.

Profit displays the calculated depreciations made over the entire term of the asset. For journalised periods, the Journalised column is selected, and they have a green background. Non-journalised periods are not selected and have a white background.

If you want to make a random depreciation for an asset, the periods are always annual periods and Profit enters these in the last period.

You can only open the properties of a line on this tab if the asset is depreciated randomly.

View an asset of an asset group

Profit displays all linked assets per asset group.

To view all the assets of an asset group:

  1. Go to: Financial / Fixed assets / Asset group.
  2. Open the properties of Asset groupMachines.
  3. Go to the tab: Assets.

Profit displays all the assets of the asset group.

View the assets of an employee

Because an employee can be responsible for an asset, an asset can be linked to him/her via the asset properties. Profit displays all linked assets per employee.

To view the assets of an employee:

  1. Go to: HR / Employee / Employee.
  2. Open the properties of the employee.
  3. Go to the tab: Company property.

Profit displays all the assets of the employee.

View the assets master card

To view the assets master card:

  2. Open the report: Asset master card (Profit).
  3. You can also print the assets card as follows:
    1. Go to: Financial / Fixed assets / Asset.
