Add an organisation chart structure

If you are getting started with Profit, you first add the organisational structure. You set up the organisation chart in here. If the organisation changes or grows, you can add a new organisation chart structure with a certain effective date. This creates a new version of your organisation chart.

If you add an organisation chart structure, you then also add the new job lines with the same start date for the employee.

To add an organisation chart structure:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / Organisation chart.
  2. Click on: New.
  3. Enter the description. If you are creating a new version of an old structure, you can copy the description of the old structure.
  4. Enter the effective date. When you are getting started with Profit you can specify a date in the past, for example the date your organisation was founded.
  5. Select check boxes if you want to copy data from an old organisation chart.
  6. Click on: Finish.

    Profit adds the new organisation chart structure and automatically closes the old one because you may only have one active organisation chart in Profit. If the organisation has multiple employers, the organisation chart shows all employers.
